Make Up Your Mind!

I hate saying mean things about people online. It's why I deleted my Christmas post. Now I'm actually regretting deleting that. Surprisingly not because of my sister. She really knows how to get to me, but it doesn't usually last very long. So Katie and I are back to getting along.

Guess who's being a brat? Yeah, my brother. I'm incredibly angry with him. I was feeling really sick today and ended up sleeping most of the day away. Some time around 6pm I left my bedroom and made my way onto one of the couches in the family room. I brought my computer with me to check e-mail, play games, and just do what I usually do online. I'm not sure when it happened, but it had to be after 7pm, when I fell back to sleep on the couch. Apparently, as I was sleeping, my brother came home from work and told my sister that I don't deserve my computer because I left it on for so long. He was saying that it's going to burn out and be as useless as my old one within the month.

Too bad he's just being a little bitch. I turned it back on around 6pm. He came home at 10 at the latest. Four hours? Really? That's "all day"? No, that's his excuse for being angry that I got a new laptop that he doesn't think I deserve. Well, I have news for him: No matter how mean and bitchy he is about my new computer, it's still going to be mine. Not his.

I can't believe how selfish he's being. I never complained when he got a new laptop two years ago and mine was still dying every time I tried to play a video. I didn't complain when my sister got a fancy new laptop last year (and a wicked tablet). I didn't even ask for a new computer until halfway through this past summer. I can't help it that laptops are constantly improving. When his came out, it was top of the line. Now mine is.

Long story short, my brother is acting like a 6-year-old, which is incredibly unbecoming behaviour for an 18-year-old.

  1. I've had my laptop for a few years now. Leave it on all day everyday. Hasn't died yet......It's like a car, if you had an unlimited supply of gas it'd be better to leave it on all day every day. Starting it up and powering it down wears on parts just as much if not more then just leaving it on. the only thing that might burn out quicker is the screen, however if you close it then that is irrelevant because the screen would then be off.

  2. Pat, I know. I have your old computer =P And you're right. My laptop will be fine. As will yours. Mine is now sexier than yours =P
